| Established in 2009, the OpenMarkets foundation brings international research partners into Ghana and other African countries to study how ICTs are changing livelihoods and market dynamics. We provide access to farmers, operational support, data collection and analysis.
OpenMarkets also acts an intermediary for Western companies who want to include West African farmers in their Corporate Social Responsibility programs. Companies who want to ‘give back’ in a new and innovative way can tailor a program with us to deliver market information via text message for groups of rural farmers. |
OpenMarkets is directly affiliated with the Esoko mobile market information platform and the majority of OpenMarkets’ research and services are interconnected with Esoko’s programs.
As a non-profit entity engaged in the advancement and study of ICTs for development, we hope to be a go-to information source for mobile ICT research and outreach programs across the developing world.
